Processor Options:

Pentium II processors typically have clock speeds from 266mhz to 450mhz. Pentium III goes beyond 450 Mhz to well over 1 GHZ. (There are technical differences that make Pentium III more advanced but in reality
most users would really not benefit greatly from the difference. Memory and good video are more important.)

Celeron processors run at clock speeds from 850 MHz to 1.7 GHz but have less level 2 cache on the chip than the Pentium. This makes them considerably cheaper and in most cases cost-effective but depending on the application perhaps not as efficient. For the most part, however, a Celeron CPU and a Pentium III CPU running at the same clock speed deliver about the same performance, even though a Celeron-powered system costs hundreds of dollars less.

Transmeta Crusoe
is designed for mobile devices. Its big advantage is that it requires very little power and gives off little heat increasing battery life and making it possible to make the devices themselves smaller. You do have a trade-off in that the speed of the chips does not match its competitors.
