Wireless Services:

Sprint PCS Wireless Web Connection

This service requires you to use the Sprint Wireless Web Modem AirCard 510 manufactured by Sierra.

Sprint PCS Wireless Web must be added to an existing cellular service plan of $29.99 or more. The fee is an additional $10 a month. This option lets you use your calling plan minutes for both clear calls and accessing the wireless internet. Each additional minute of Sprint PCS Wireless Web access is based on the additional minute usage of the plan you have selected. The transmission speed is 14,400 bps. Additional compression software is included from Bluekite, Inc. which will increase perceived transmission speed to 56 kbps.

The following applications can be used with a Sierra Wireless AirCard 510:
Email, Internet, intranet/extranet, and corporate LAN access, as well as enterprise applications such as VPNs, Field Service, and Sales Force Automation/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications. The AirCard 510 cannot be used as a cellular phone.

Verizon Express Network

The Verizon Express Network utilizes the Sierra Wireless AirCard 555 PC card, which costs $299.99. The AirCard 555 is a wireless PC modem that must be inserted into the PC card slot of a laptop or expansion slot of select PDAs to operate. You can also use theAirCard 555 as a wireless phone, while connected to your laptop or PDA, and place voice calls by connecting the Jabra headset which retails for $19.99. Verizon Express Network attains a maximum transmission speed of 144 kbps.

The following applications can be used with a Sierra Wireless AirCard 555:
Email, Internet, intranet/extranet, and corporate LAN access, as well as enterprise applications such as VPNs, Field Service, and Sales Force Automation/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) applications.

Instant text messaging and a personal lock code are also included.

FAQS - Sierra AirCard 555:

Subscription to the Express Network at $30 per month requires a subscription to a digital voice-calling plan of $35 or more per month. All Express Network data session airtime charges will apply towards your calling plan's monthly home airtime allowance, and any Express Network data session airtime in excess of the monthly airtime allowance will be charged at the rate set forth in your calling plan.
