LifeBook A Series

Designed for high-performance notebook computers, the mobile AMD Athlon 4 processor allows notebook systems to run the most demanding Microsoft Windows-compatible business and multimedia applications.

IEEE 1394 (Firewire) allows you to download files (such as digital video and images from a digital camera) or transfer files (with a IEEE 1394 external hard drive) to your computer at up to 400Mbits per second. The IEEE 1394 (4-pin) port comes standard on the LifeBook A Series notebook.

The optional port replicator allows "one-click" attachment to your desktop peripherals, including LAN. The port replicator adds a power port for the AC adapter, a serial port, a parallel port, keyboard and mouse port, external monitor port, two USB ports, and provides pass-through of LAN for systems with internal LAN. In addition, there is a microphone jack for voice communication, an in-line jack, and a headphone jack for stereo headphones or external stereo speakers.

The LifeBook A Series notebook has both a built-in modem and an Ethernet port. Available Wireless LAN supports the popular WiFi-compliant (802.11b) standard access points, giving you the ultimate freedom of cable-free connections at up to a 11 mbps transfer rate.

Launch frequently used applications with just the touch of a button. The LifeBook A Series notebook has two application launch buttons, one Internet launch button, and one E-mail Launch Button. They are also programmable so you can assign and launch any of your favorite applications.

PowerQuest Drive Image Special Edition (DISE) provides a way to restore your computer to the original factory image if you experience a hard disk crash or other system failure. The image is saved on a separate partition on the hard disk.

LifeBook B Series

Four buttons allow you to easily launch applications in one easy touch. The buttons can be programmed to launch your e-mail, Internet browser, and any other favorite applications.

To protect your notebook from unauthorized access, these buttons can also be used as pre-boot password combination log-in. Once set, the notebook will boot-up only when the correct combination is entered. There are 800,000 possible combinations with supervisor and user password levels allowing IT manager to set a single supervisor password with unique user password for each employee for better manageability.

The magnesium alloy case that protects the LCD panel is also many times stronger than conventional plastic material.

The world's first mini-notebook with a touch screen. Using a stylus, you can navigate through your applications and the Internet quickly and easily. This screen also has an anti-glare coating to reduce reflection for better outdoor viewing.

LifeBook C Series

The LifeBook E Series notebook is one of the thinnest notebooks powered by an Intel Pentium 4 processor. Measured at 1.38" thin and with all the required connectivity, such as parallel, serial and ext. monitor ports, it weighs less than 6 lbs.

There are four buttons which allow you to easily launch applications with one easy touch. The buttons can be programmed to launch your e-mail, Internet browser, or other favorite applications. To protect your notebook from unauthorized access, the buttons can also be used for pre-boot password combination log-in. Once set, the notebook will boot-up only when the correct combination is entered. The magnesium alloy case that protects the LCD provides significant protection over plastic LCD cases found on more common notebooks.

The LifeBook E Series comes with 32MB of integrated video memory, which is independent from the system memory. In addition, the video comes with 4x AGP, which allows faster, smoother, and better graphic quality.

New Double Data Rate (DDR) system memory doubles the clock speed to 266MHz.

A standard feature on the E Series, IEEE1394 (Firewire - 4-pin type) allows you to download data and files, such as digital video and images, to the computer at up to a super-fast 400Mbits per second.

The modular bay offers flexibility to meet your needs. The modular bay can accommodate a CD-ROM drive, a DVD drive, a DVD/CD-RW combo drive, or a second bay battery. For mobile professionals who do not require a media drive while on the road, a weight saver can be fitted into the bay to reduce the notebook weight.

The LifeBook E Series comes standard with both the integrated modem and LAN, providing you the convenience of connecting to your office network or connecting at home using a standard dial-up modem, or broadband (such as DSL or Cable modem.) The available wireless LAN module is fully integrated into the system with built-in antenna. It is WiFi-compliant (802.11b) and support any 802.11b access points.

The port replicator offers an easy one-click dock/un-dock mechanism with the LifeBook E Series. It offers four USB ports, parallel port, serial port, keyboard and mouse ports, external monitor port, and LAN pass-thru port, and stereo line-in and line-out jacks.

The wireless mouse is convenient and easy to use. An IR receiver is directly built-in to all E Series and can sense the mouse movement up to 3 feet away. The wireless mouse either comes standard or is available as an accessory.
